Ted McNicol works with companies to improve their workforce effectiveness, using a combination of performance measurement/management, rewards and process re-engineering. He has managed programs internally and consulted with companies in the energy, financial, transportation, manufacturing, construction and information sectors, operating both domestically and globally.
Key focus areas include:
Ted has contributed to companies who recognize HR can be the critical unique competitive advantage they need in an information-driven economy. Ted received an MBA from the University of Liverpool, as well as Certification as an HR Professional (CHRP) and a Compensation Professional (CCP). He also teaches Business Management and Human Resources courses online and has redesigned an Organization Behaviour course. Ted is currently a Vice-President on the Canadian Arthritis Patients Alliance (CAPA)) Board and is a Board member at Successful Contracting & Consulting - SCC). He was the Track Chair (Total Rewards) for the BC HRMA conference in 2008 and 2009.

Ted has successfully managed public sector privatization, two major mergers (in Ontario and Michigan) and energy industry deregulation. He brings 25 plus years of success (over 20 in management) in companies ranging from 200 to 65,000 employees in both the public and private sector.
Ted has significant accomplishments dealing with both unionized and non-union workplaces, primarily in Canada and the U.S. but also in Asia-Pacific, South America and Europe. Organizations he has worked with include Vancity Credit Union, Teekay Shipping, Methanex Corporation, DTE Energy (Detroit Edison, MichCon Gas), Union Gas (Spectra Energy) and Canada Post Corporation.
