Professional Overview:

Cheryl is a dynamic and creative management professional with over 30 years of solid business experience.  She has a proven track record of success in business development, operations management, risk management, financial management, training and facilitation in a number of industries across Canada and the U.S.  Extensive leadership, program management, marketing and fundraising experience coupled with communication, training, and public speaking skills result in a leader who can make a difference in any organization. She is a professionally trained facilitator with experience in curriculum design, program design and delivery using adult learning principles.
Cheryl has coached, trained and mentored more than 400 entrepreneurs through the business planning and launch phase of their business.  Creating business plans and financial plans that are viable, captivating and financially sound is one of her strengths.  Her education includes an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree and a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Diploma.  Teaching Business English is one of her specialties.  Cheryl is passionate about inspiring, motivating and educating people so they can achieve their full potential.


Personal Business Advisor/Coach

We help aspiring entrepreneurs take a solid business idea and turn it into a profitable and rewarding business. We offer a number of critical services: 1) business concept exploration, development and assessment; 2) business plan training and coaching which includes step-by-step tips and coaching on how to start a successful business, business plan editing services; development and analysis of financial projections; and 3) Mentoring and VIP Coaching for new start-ups and established business owners who want to grow their business.
Specializations:  Working with mature female entrepreneurs who may be thinking about early retirement, are passionate about making a difference in the community, and want to take control of their future by creating their own business. 
Current clients include the YMCA of Greater Vancouver who is a community partner in the Open Door Group/Work BC Employment Centres on the Sunshine Coast. HR Achieve has been contracted by the YMCA to deliver self-employment programs on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. We assist aspiring entrepreneurs to develop a viable business plan and launch a successful business by providing entrepreneurial and business planning workshops, coaching and mentoring services throughout the 48 week program.  Cheryl has been working as a self-employment expert with the YMCA since 2004.
